Bio
Producer/composer Eric “DJ Tricky” Caver and producer/songwriter Paul “Molengat1.0” Timmerman met in 1992, while working promotions at Adult Contemporary radio station KBIG in Los Angeles. As two of the most inappropriate, non-Adult Contemporary twenty-somethings at the station, they quickly bonded out of their shared passion for music technology, sarcasm, and their general dispassion for AC music . Inspired by artists such as Prince, Depeche Mode, The Police, Deep Forest and countless film composers, they began an unofficial collaboration of combining catchy, thematic music with contemporary urban flavor. Excited by the direction of technology and their uncanny ability to complement each others' musical abilities, they set out to not only compose music that they felt was unique, but to find collaborators of all genres that shared in their vision. By the mid 2000’s, Eric and Paul had attained a fair amount of success individually (Eric as a recording engineer and radio production guru, Paul as a business entrepreneur and musician). They decided to combine forces officially, forming a venture that would be home to their multi-genre musical ideas AND one that would provide an open door to collaborate and learn from their peers. This venture took form officially in 2005 under the name - Ptec Dojo.

To date, the members of Ptec Dojo have collaborated with an impressive list of notable artists such as Information Society, Collide, as well as Grammy Award winners Paula Abdul and Taj Mahal. Some of their on-going clients include video game behemoth Activision, television/radio mainstay NBC/Universal, FutureWorld music libraries, promotions and marketing powerhouse Marketing Factory Inc., and entertainment industry giant, Clear Channel Communications amongst others.

Eric (DJ Tricky) is a well respected producer in the radio and music industries but he is perhaps best known for his remix skills, technical/engineering savvy and his collection of horrible Prince movies. Born of a time when music was a part of primary education (drums, trumpet, guitar) his eclectic taste in music and willingness to explore uncharted musical territory make him an indispensable half of Ptec Dojo. Eric wears briefs.

Paul (Molengat 1.0) is an accomplished drummer, guitarist and songwriter with a vast performance history with various bands of multiple genres. He is perhaps best known for his unorthodox use of sequencing software and his collection of Depeche Mode colored vinyl records that he thought would be worth more money by now. Paul wears boxer briefs.
